Women's Basketball Faces St. Bonaventure

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will play host to St. Bonaventure Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.

Miami enters the contest with a record of 1-1, while St. Bonaventure is 1-4 overall.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools, Miami is 8-3 all-time when playing an Atlantic 10 member.

UM fell 56-48 to Northwestern on the road last Friday. Sheila James (Rubonia, Fla.) led the Hurricanes with a game-high 18 points in the contest. She also dished out four assists and four steals in the losing effort.

James currently leads the team averaging 14.5 points per game. Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) and Alicia Hartlaub (Schaefferstown, Pa.) lead the team with six rebounds per game.

St. Bonaventure won its first game of the season Tuesday night after beating Canisus 93-84. Melissa Fazio leads the Bonnies with 14.8 points per game.

The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM).
