Moss Wins At Terrier Classic

Boston, MA – University of Miami junior sprinter Santana Moss (Coral City) finished in a first place tie in the 55-meter dash to highlight this weekend’s competition at the Terrier Classic in Boston, MA.

Moss, the defending BIG EAST Champion in the 60-meter dash, finished the race in a hand-timed 6.0 seconds in tying Dayne Ross of Lincoln University. Moss ran the fastest qualifying time (6.28) in winning his preliminary heat.

Moss, a wide receiver on the Hurricanes’ football team, led all Hurricane receivers this season in catches (54), receiving yards (899), touchdowns (6) and yards per catch (16.6 ypc).

In additional action, freshman Clinton Portis (Gainesville, FL) finished fifth in the high jump (6-2) while junior Delvin Brown (Carol City) took fifth in the long jump (21-10.75). Senior Nick Gramsky (Chesapeake Beach, MD) was Miami’s top finisher in the Mile Run taking eighth (4:17.36).
