Women's Hoops Games To Be Broadcast on WVUM

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For the first time in program history, WVUM, 90.5 FM, the University of Miami’s student radio station will broadcast Hurricane women’s basketball road games. The station, which in the past has carried all home games and traveled to the BIG EAST Tournament will now travel to all BIG EAST away games.

“I am really excited that our fan base is going to be able to follow us when we are playing away from home,” said head coach Ferne Labati. “Being in the BIG EAST Conference is such an honor and to be able to share that with our fans in South Florida even when we travel is just fantastic”.

WVUM will begin coverage of Miami road games on January 5, 2000 when the Hurricanes travel to Rutgers for their BIG EAST season-opener. WVUM will broadcast 26 of 27 Hurricanes women’s basketball games this year.
