Women's Basketball Drops Slovan Bratislava, 68-55

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball teamcompleted its preseason with a win over Slovan Bratislava, 68-55, Wednesdaynight at the Knight Sports Complex at the Coral Gables campus.
Trailing, 29-27, at halftime, the Hurricanes used a 24-9 run overthe first 10 minutes of the second half to come from behind and take thelead for good. In the second half alone, the ‘Canes shot 18-for-30 from thefield, finishing the game with a 60.0 shooting percentage from the floor.The 13 point margin of victory was UM’s largest lead of the contest.
Junior guard Camilla Osth had a team-high 19 points, shooting9-for-14 from the field. Senior point guard Gina Graziani finished witheight points and a team-high seven assists.
Slovan Bratislava was led by Renata Plavkova’s 25 points. AndreaSlosiarova followed with 12.
