Squillante Strength & Conditioning Center

Completed in 2001, the Mark and Jason Squillante Strength & Conditioning Center 11,500-square foot facility is more than double the size of the old weight room and features the latest in strength and conditioning equipment. It provides the focal point of Miami’s annual NFL Pro Day each spring, and it is also used by dozens of current and former NFL players. The Center offers a complete line of free weights and muscle-specific machines, complete with rubberized floor surfaces, stereo sound system, cooled water fountains and full-length mirror walls. Recent additions include a video display wall for the football program’s weightlifting records, an artificial turf field, 20 Hammer Strength HD Elite Combo Half Racks, a variety of plate-loaded equipment and Hammer Strength custom dumbbells, weight plates and bumpers. The Squillante Strength & Conditioning Center, which also houses UM’s strength and conditioning offices, provides a state-of-the-art facility to help all Hurricanes student-athletes achieve excellence.
