Colin Shaffer

Colin was promoted to Director, Compliance and NIL, in August of 2022.

Colin was promoted to Associate Director of Compliance in October of 2021.

Colin Shaffer was named Assistant Director of Compliance in April of 2019.  He joined the University of Miami Athletic Department in the fall of 2016 as a Compliance Intern and has been with the department since that point.

A native of Huntington Beach, CA., Colin earned a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015, where he played soccer for four years. Upon graduation, Colin attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated with his JD in May of 2018 and graduated with his Master’s Degree in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law in December of 2018. He is a member of the Florida State Bar.

Before his time in the Compliance Office, Colin worked for professional sports organizations, private law firms, and in Division III athletics.
