2020 (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in two sets against Wake Forest (10/2) and recorded one kill, one dig and three blocks in Miami’s 3-1 win… Competed for the No. 12 Hurricanes in the 3-1 loss to FSU and registered two blocks (10/15).

2019 (Redshirt Freshman): Redshirted due to injury.

2018 (Freshman): Appeared in her first match as a Cane and recorded two digs against TAMUCC (Sept. 7) and finished with one kill,one assist, one ace and five digs against Texas Southern (Sept. 8)… Recorded one kill and one block assist against No. 8 Pitt (Sept. 28)… Saw action against Clemson, recording two digs (Oct. 19)… Saw playing time on the road at Wake Forest (Nov. 9).

High School: A four-letter winner at West Boca High School, Burrell signed with the Canes after leading the Bulls to three consecutive 8A District titles between 2015 and 2017 and served as team captain for the last two. The 2016 Bulls MVP and First Team All-County selection pin hitter combined for 450 kills in her junior and senior seasons, hitting a .384 and a .311, respectively, and led the team to a 22-7 record in her senior season. She brings four years of club volleyball experience, as well. Burrell has also competed in gymnastics, swimming, basketball, track & field, and was focused mainly on soccer before settling on volleyball in her freshman year of high school

Personal: Full name is Taylor Elizabeth Burrell … Daughter of Wayne Burrell and Marilyn Cordy-Burrell … Has two younger siblings, Hannah (16) and Luke (12) … Enjoys shopping, volunteer work benefitting children, working out, listening to music, hanging out with friends and family and traveling.
