2007 (MEDICAL REDSHIRT): Played in just two games, missing the first four and the final six games. Suffered a right knee injury in training camp … Saw his first action of the season on special teams, then played at linebacker in the fourth quarter in the win over Duke…Saw his first extensive action of the season, moving to middle linebacker in the second quarter at North Carolina.

2006 (JUNIOR): Played in only seven games, with two starts…Finished with 21 tackles and one tackle for loss…Also was a mainstay on special teams…Started the opener vs. Florida State and at Duke…Had a season-high seven tackles vs. FIU.

2005 (SOPHOMORE): Team’s starting middle linebacker all season…Started nine of 12 games (didn’t start two when the team opened in a nickel and dime defense and didn’t start the regular-season finale)…Ranked 13th on the team with 33 tackles (14 solo), adding five tackles for loss, two pass breakups and two QB pressures …Opened the season at Florida State as the starting middle linebacker and made two assisted tackles…Tallied one tackle at Clemson, then four tackles and a pass breakup vs. Colorado…Started again vs. Duke and had his best game, making seven tackles (four solo)…Registered four tackles vs. North Carolina, and three stops at both Virginia Tech and Wake Forest…Started but played just 13 snaps vs. Georgia Tech, with one solo tackle and one assist…Started and saw limited action vs. Virginia, making one tackle…Made two tackles in the Peach Bowl vs. LSU.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Played in 10 games, starting twice, and was the team’s primary weakside linebacker the final three regular-season games…Finished the season with 11 tackles…Selected as the team’s Defensive Rookie of the Year along with Anthony Reddick…Played in his first game for UM a week later vs. Louisiana Tech…Played on special teams vs. Houston, Georgia Tech, Louisville, NC State and North Carolina, and…Made his first collegiate start at weakside linebacker at Virginia and made two tackles and one tackle for loss, as the Hurricanes upset the 10th-ranked Cavaliers…Played as the primary weakside linebacker and recorded a season-high four tackles, including two tackles for loss…Started at weakside linebacker vs. Virginia Tech and made four tackles…In the Peach Bowl vs. Florida, played as a reserve, making four tackles (one solo).

HIGH SCHOOL: Second-Team All-Dade as a senior…Also a standout wrestler…As a senior in 2003, made 139 tackles, blocked two punts and two field goal attempts, in addition to returning a kickoff for a touchdown…Played two games as a down lineman and recorded five sacks against Miami Norland from his end position…Had an unusual high school career, as he did not play as a freshman, played on junior varsity as a sophomore, and made varsity as a junior before being injured in his seventh game and missing the remainder of the season before starring as a senior…Made 86 tackles and had two sacks as a junior in only seven games…Chose Miami over South Florida, Central Florida, North Carolina State, Western Illinois, Indiana, Florida International and Florida Atlantic…Coached by Roland Smith.
