CAREER: Senior cornerback who has played in 20 games over the last four years…Saw action in 10 games and garnered four starts in 2007

2007 (JUNIOR): Played in 10 games, making four starts and playing in the cornerback rotation all season … Led the cornerbacks with 30 tackles (14 solo), adding four pass breakups … Stellar player on special teams … Made the first start of his career at right cornerback against FIU and played 49 downs and made five tackles (two solo), adding two passes defensed … Saw extensive action in the cornerback rotation on 28 plays, making three assisted tackles and one pass defensed against Texas A&M … Started at right cornerback against Duke seeing action on 43 plays on defense, making five tackles (four solo) … Started at right cornerback and played 46 downs, making a career-high seven tackles (three solo) at North Carolina … Started at right cornerback and made four tackles (two solo) in win at Florida State … Also played on special teams in games against Boston College, Marshall, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Played on special teams for the final month of the season…Played in three games (Clemson, Virginia and Wake Forest), making two tackles.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rated the No. 10 player in Tennessee by SuperPrep…Named to the Memphis Commercial Appeal’s 2003 “Best of the Preps” Team…Played cornerback and wide receiver as a senior after playing tight end and receiver in previous years…Moved to defense for the first time in the spring before his senior season and was an immediate impact player…As a senior in 2003, intercepted six passes while leading 11-2 Melrose to the Class 4A state semifinals…Also played basketball and ran track…Was the runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles at the 2003 Tennessee Track & Field Championships…Has run a best of 14.3 in the 110 hurdles…Chose Miami over Auburn, Arkansas, Louisville and Mississippi…Began playing organized football at age six, at the urging of his grandmother…Coached by Kenny Ingram.
