CAREER: Experienced and quick possession receiver and kick returner who was on his way to his finest season before suffering a knee injury in last season’s third game…Received a medical hardship waiver and will be 100 percent this season…Took over at flanker in 2006, filling the role Roscoe Parrish and Sinorice Moss held the previous two seasons…Has career totals of 62 receptions for 675 yards (10.9-yard average) and four touchdowns…Valuable member of the Hurricanes’ receiving corps from 2003-05, during which time he missed only two games…Talented speedster with good hands who worked his way into the Hurricanes’ rotation at wide receiver in 2003 as a true freshman…Dependable third-down receiver…Also returns kickoffs and punts…Competed as a member of the track and field team during the indoor season, but missed most of spring football practice to attend to a family issue…Graduated in December 2006 with a degree in liberal arts and is pursuing a second degree in sociology.

2006 (MEDICAL REDSHIRT): Started the first three games and was leading the team in receiving before suffering a torn ACL and missing the remainder of the season…Caught 13 passes for 183 yards (14.1-yard average), seven of them for first downs…Started the season opener vs. Florida State and tied for the team lead with four receptions for a team-high 54 yards. Also returned two kickoffs for 42 yards and rushed one time for six yards…Led the team with six receptions for 62 yards vs. Florida A&M, and also returned one punt for 13 yards…Started at Louisville and caught three passes for 67 yards, including a 51-yarder. Suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the third quarter…Underwent surgery October 18 and sat out the rest of the season.

2005 (JUNIOR): Team’s No. 3 wide receiver all season…Played in 10 games, missing two with an injury…Ranked fourth on the team with a career-high 25 receptions for 242 yards (9.7-yard average) and two touchdowns…Also returned eight punts for 64 yards and led the team with eight kickoff returns for 175 yards (21.9 average)…Did not have any catches in the season opener at Florida State…In Game 2 at Clemson, caught two passes for 20 yards at Clemson, returned two kickoffs for 54 yards and made his first punt return, a 15-yarder…Caught three passes for 33 yards in the home opener vs. Colorado…Led the team with four receptions for 30 yards vs. South Florida. Also started the game as the team’s punt returner in place of Devin Hester. Suffered an ankle injury and left the game…Did not play the next two games (Duke and Temple)…Returned to action vs. North Carolina, tying for the team lead with three catches for a team-high 38 yards. Also rushed once for two yards and returned three kickoffs for 44 yards…Made three catches for 33 yards at Virginia Tech, including a nine-yard TD pass from Kyle Wright to give UM a 20-0 lead in the third quarter (his first TD of the season). Also returned one punt for 12 yards…Matched his career high at Wake Forest with seven receptions for 61 yards. Also scored a touchdown for the second straight game, this time on an 11-yard pass from Wright. Rushed once for two yards. As the main kick returner with Hester injured, ran back two punts for 17 yards…Caught one pass for 10 yards vs. Georgia Tech. Also served as the primary kick returner again, with four punt returns for 20 yards and two kickoffs for 45 yards…Caught two passes for 17 yards vs. Virginia, rushed once for eight yards, and returned one kickoff for 32 yards…In the Peach Bowl vs. Louisiana State, did not have any receptions for the first time since the season opener (in a game in which he played).

2004 (SOPHOMORE): Played in the wide receiver rotation all season, starting two of 12 games played…Ranked second among team’s wide receivers with 21 receptions for 230 yards (11.0 average) and one TD…Also served as one of the team’s two kickoff returners, ranking second on the team behind Devin Hester with 13.6-yard average (14 for 191 yards)…In the season opener vs. Florida State caught two passes for six yards…Caught two passes for 50 yards vs. Louisiana Tech, including a 39-yard TD…At Houston, caught two passes for six yards for the second time in three games. Returned his first kickoff of the season for 14 yards…Played but did not have any receptions at Georgia Tech…Made the first start of his UM career vs. Louisville and caught seven passes for 68 yards (both career highs). Added three kickoff returns for a season-high 47 yards…Caught one pass for 10 yards at NC State, adding two kickoff returns for 40 yards…Started for the second time at North Carolina and caught one pass for 14 yards and had one kickoff return for 17 yards…Caught two passes for 17 yards and returned a kickoff for 14 yards vs. Clemson…In the win over Virginia, caught two passes for 19 yards and returned three kickoffs for 29 yards…Caught one pass for 37 yards and returned two kickoffs for 15 yards vs. Wake Forest…Did not have any receptions against Virginia Tech…In the Peach Bowl vs. Florida, played as a reserve wide receiver and caught one pass for three yards and returned one kickoff for 15 yards.

2003 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 13 games as a receiver and kickoff return specialist…For the season, made three receptions for 20 yards and scored one touchdown…Also returned 10 kickoffs for 202 yards, a 20.2-yard average (34 long)…Caught the first pass of his Hurricanes career in the season opener at Louisiana Tech for two yards…Returned one kickoff for 10 yards against Florida…Made the first touchdown catch of his Miami career against East Carolina, a 10-yarder (also returned a punt for eight yards)…Caught one pass for eight yards against Temple.
