CAREER: Only returning starting member on the offensive line…Overachiever who won the starting center in last year’s training camp and surprised his teammates with his game performances…Smart and tenacious run blocker who has a large frame to build upon and will be a solid candidate for All-ACC honors as a senior…Considered perhaps the most surprising player on the team in 2005, grading out as the second-best offensive lineman after Eric Winston…Also led the team in both pancake blocks and metrorails in his only season as the starter…Has started 12 of 27 games played over three seasons…Talented and experienced player who overcame injuries to work his way into a key reserve role in 2003 and 2004…Exceptional student…Graduated in 2005 with a degree in business management and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.

2005 (JUNIOR): Starting center and one of six offensive players who started every game…Handled every snap until games were won and he gave way to backup Alex Pou…Led the team with 31 pancake blocks and 52 metrorail blocks (staying with his defender through the play)…Allowed 5.5 sacks…Named the Most Improved Offensive Player…Made his first collegiate start in the season opener at Florida State, making one pancake block and did not allow any sacks…Played the entire three-overtime game at Clemson, with one pancake and four metrorails, but he allowed 2.5 sacks…Had two pancakes and two metrorails vs. Colorado, then four pancakes and a team-high five metrorails vs. South Florida…Tallied three pancakes and four metrorail blocks vs. Duke…Played only into the second quarter in a 34-3 rout of Temple…Had four pancakes and five metrorails against North Carolina…Had a season-best game in the upset win at Virginia Tech, making eight pancakes and 14 metrorails, both personal bests and season highs for the team (allowed one sack). 2003 (FRESHMAN): Saw action in nine games as a reserve at center and guard…Recorded one metrorail against Louisiana Tech…Had one metrorail and one pancake against Virginia Tech.

2002 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt…Practiced with the scout team…Suffered an ankle injury late in the season.
