Hurricanes Ranked No. 25 in AVCA Poll
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team (9-2) entered the AVCA Coaches Poll at No. 25 in the final rankings before conference play. This is the second week of the season the Hurricanes have been in the top 25.
The Hurricanes went undefeated in the Knight Sports Complex, starting with a ranked sweep over No. 25 Arkansas, following with dominate wins over Texas Tech and FIU.
Sophomore Grace Lopez earned 49 kills, 16 blocks and 13 digs to highlight the Hurricanes’ last preseason weekend. Redshirt freshman Bianka Lulic also helped the team thrive to victory with 17 blocks and 11 kills.
Miami will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face No. 18 Florida State on Sept. 25, for their first match of the ACC season, before returning home to take on the in-state foe in Coral Gables, Fla., on Sept. 28.
