Lukianova, Vach Named to AVCA All-East Coast Region Team
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Elizaveta Lukianova and Savannah Vach earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Coast Region honors, as announced Tuesday.
Both Miami volleyball players earned All-ACC awards earlier this month for their performances during the 2020-21 season.
Lukianova, who earned her third conference postseason honor, led the Canes with 303 kills in just 17 matches. The outside hitter recorded double-digit kills in all but two matches and led the conference in kills per set (4.59) and points per set (5.13).
Not only was she dominant on offense, but Lukianova led the way in blocks for Miami with 42 and ends her collegiate career with her first AVCA award and two All-ACC Preseason Team accolades.
Vach joins Lukianova and nine other ACC players on the team and is just one of two setters to earn the award. The sophomore led the Canes for the second-straight season with 657 assists and the conference’s third-best average with 10.07 assists per set. In two years, Vach ranks sixth in Miami history with 1,703 career assists.
