Baseball Adds Midweek Matchup vs. Kent State
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head coach Gino DiMare added a midweek matchup against Kent State to the Hurricanes’ 2020 baseball schedule.
The Hurricanes will face the Golden Flashes on Wed., Feb. 19. First pitch from Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field is scheduled for 6 p.m. The addition of the game against Kent State gives Miami 56 regular season games, including 37 at home, and rounds out the Canes’ schedule for the upcoming season.
Miami opens its second season under the direction of DiMare on Feb. 14 with the opener of a three-game series against Rutgers (Feb. 14-16). The following weekend, rival Florida (Feb. 21-23) comes to The Light for a three-game set that will only add to the excitement at the beginning of the season.
The Hurricanes’ home schedule also includes series with Pitt (March 6-8), Virginia (March 20-22), North Carolina (April 10-12), Louisville (April 17-19) and Clemson (May 8-10), among others.
Miami’s road schedule includes trips to Virginia Tech (Mar. 13-15), Duke (March 27-29), Notre Dame (April 3-5), Florida State (April 24-26) and Georgia Tech (May 14-16).
