Baseball Ready for Orange & Green World Series

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami baseball team will play its annual Orange and Green World Series beginning Wednesday.
 
The Hurricanes will play Wednesday at 3 p.m., Friday at 4 p.m., and Saturday’s finale is set for 11 a.m. The Orange and Green World Series will following a running score format, playing 21 innings over three days where the team with the most runs scored at the end of the three days of competition will be declared the winner.
 
Orange captains Brian Van Belle and Alex Toral and Green captains Albert Maury, Jr. and Adrian Del Castillo built their respective team rosters through a draft that was held on Monday. Each player was paired with a counterpart at the same position to ensure each roster could field a full team.
 
All three games in the Orange and Green World Series will be played at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. Admission is free.
