UM Athletics Announces Educators' Day
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — University of Miami Athletics is proud to announce that Educators’ Day will take place on Saturday, September 14th.
Educators have always been valued by UM Athletics and the Hurricanes are partnering with the University of Miami School of Education and Human Development to offer discounted tickets for educators, school staff and their families for the Hurricanes’ football game against Bethune-Cookman, which kicks off at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
“We felt it was important to bring this type of program to the University of Miami,” said Mackie Feierstein, Assistant AD, Ticket Sales. “The purpose of the event is to showcase our wonderful teachers in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties. We want to make them feel important and allow them to have a memorable experience.”
Tickets start at only $20 each and educators do not have to be season ticket holders to purchase tickets. The school that brings out the most educators will receive a Sebastian “The Ibis” visit at their respective school. In addition to the discount, teachers will be recognized with a special tribute during the game.
Educators can purchase as many tickets as they need at the discounted rate to enjoy the game with family and friends. While ticket sales for Hurricanes Educators’ Day is focused on educators in the tri-county area, teachers and school staff in neighboring counties are also able to take advantage of the discount.
