CORAL GABLES, Fla. The matchups are set for the NCAA Singles Championship, as released Sunday.

Adria Soriano Barrera begins competition in the singles draw Monday at 5 p.m. with a contest against second-seeded and second-ranked JJ Wolf of Ohio State.

The sophomore will only be the third Hurricane to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship over the past decade, joining Vallverdu (2009) and Piotr Lomacki (2016). Currently ranked No. 33 nationally, Soriano Barrera has collected a combined 15 career ranked singles and doubles wins heading into Monday’s opener of the NCAA Singles Championship in Orlando.

Soriano Barrera opened the spring season ranked No. 21 in ITA singles and ended at No. 33 following the NCAA Team Championship. He was ranked in the top 60 for all 27 of his singles matches this spring, rising as high as No. 13, and was recently tabbed to the All-ACC Second Team.

Competing at the top of the Hurricanes’ singles lineup, Soriano Barrera boasts a team-high 21 wins during his sophomore campaign and a 13-9 mark during the spring. The Barcelona, Spain, native owns six spring victories against ranked opponents, including a pair of top-25 triumphs over then-fourth-ranked Christian Sigsgaard of Texas and then-No. 21 Alexis Galarneau of NC State.

Battling then-No. 75 Nick Stachowiak of Duke on March 24, the sophomore secured a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) win to clinch a 4-3 comeback victory against the Blue Devils.

Last season, the sophomore teamed up with Christian Langmo in the NCAA Doubles Championship and reached the Second Round, becoming the first Miami duo to make the tournament since Daniel Vallverdu and Carl Sundberg earned a bid in 2008.

The entirety of both tournaments will take place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. The Tennis Channel will have live broadcasts of action each day, while other matches will be streamed online. Soriano Barrera and Wolf are scheduled to compete on court 1 on Monday.
