Miami Returns Home for Doubleheader

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – On the heels of Sunday night’s dominating victory over No. 37 Florida State, the No. 43-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team will welcome UNC-Wilmington and Boston University to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Tuesday.

Miami (9-4, 3-0 ACC) takes on the Seahawks at 11 a.m. before meeting the Terriers at 4 p.m. Live stats for both affairs will be accessible HERE.

Tuesday’s match will mark just the second meeting between the Canes and Seahawks, and the first in head coach Aljosa Piric three-year tenure. UNCW claimed the lone meeting between the two programs on Jan. 22, 2016, 4-1.

The Hurricanes enter their fourth matchup of the new millennium against Boston University, with Miami boasting a 3-0 mark in the all-time series. UM secured a 7-0 sweep in the most recent matchup played on March 10, 2017.

The Hurricanes are led by a pair of sophomores featured on the Oracle/ITA national singles list, with Adria Soriano Barrera coming it at No. 19 and Bojan Jankulovski ranked No. 71.

UNCW, currently 6-6 under the direction of 12th-year head coach Mait DuBois, dropped its most recent contest, 5-2, against No. 23 Pennsylvania on Thursday and do not have any players listed on the national singles or doubles rankings.

Boston University enters the match with a 4-9 mark under fifth-year head coach Dejan Stankovic. The Terriers dropped a pair of road matches this past weekend, coming up short against Fordham, 4-3, and Yale, 6-1.

Following its meeting with the Seahawks and Terriers, Miami will return to ACC completion when it hosts No. 13 Notre Dame Friday at 1 p.m. The match is set to be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

The University of Miami – Coral Gables Campus has introduced an updated parking policy for the 2018-19 school year. Enforcement is now extended to seven days a week, 8 a.m. to just 11 p.m. PayByPhone and additional pay stations are available across all campus parking lots and garages to facilitate visitor parking.
