CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team concludes its regular season Friday night at No. 15 Virginia Tech. Game time is 7 p.m., and ESPN2 has the television broadcast. The game also streams online via the WatchESPN app.

• Miami is the only power conference team with five players each averaging at least 11 points per game.
• Over the last eight games, Anthony Lawrence II is averaging 14.6 ppg, 8.8 rpg and 4.0 apg.
• Ebuka Izundu leads the ACC and is sixth nationally in offensive rebounds (107, 3.69/game). He has 16 offensive boards in the last two games.
• Chris Lykes is on pace for UM’s highest-scoring season since Jack McClinton averaged 19.3 ppg in 2008-09.
• Lykes is ninth in the ACC in overall scoring (16.2 ppg) and 11th in conference play (15.9 ppg).
• Zach Johnson is one of 17 players nationally with 1,600 career points and 350 assists.
In its last game Miami (13-16, 5-12 ACC) pulled away for a 76-63 home victory over Pittsburgh Tuesday evening on Senior Night at the Watsco Center. Miami’s three seniors, Lawrence, Izundu and Johnson, combined for 53 points in the win. Lawrence scored a career-high 27 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds, while Izundu tallied 14 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Johnson added a dozen points.
Lykes leads the Hurricanes in scoring, while Lawrence (12.5), Johnson (12.0), Dejan Vasiljevic (11.3) and Izundu (11.0) also are averaging in double figures this season. They also are each averaging in double figures in conference play. As a team the Canes are scoring 72.1 ppg this year and giving up 70.7 ppg.
Virginia Tech (22-7, 11-6) lost in overtime at No. 14 Florida State, 73-64, Tuesday in Tallahassee. The Hokies are 13-2 at home this season and are led in scoring by Nickeil Alexander-Walker at 16.5 ppg. Kerry Blackshear Jr. is averaging 14.7 ppg and a team-high 7.2 rpg. Virginia Tech averages 74.1 ppg and allows just 61.9 ppg.
Miami leads the series with Virginia Tech, 22-15, and has won nine of the last 12 matchups. Virginia Tech downed Miami, 82-70, on Jan. 30 in Coral Gables in the teams’ first meeting of the season. Last season UM swept a pair of games from the Hokies, including an 84-75 win on Feb. 3 in Blacksburg when Lawrence scored 25 points and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds. UM head coach Jim Larrañaga is 12-5 against Virginia Tech in his career.
Miami opens ACC Tournament play Tuesday at Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Pairings and game times will be announced Saturday evening.
