CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team wraps up its 2018-19 home schedule at 8 p.m. Tuesday when it battles Pittsburgh at the Watsco Center. At approximately 7:45 p.m., UM will conduct Senior Night ceremonies to honor Ebuka Izundu, Zach Johnson, Anthony Lawrence II and student manager/analytics assistant Eric Rubenstein.

Things To Know
• DJ Vasiljevic averaged 19.3 ppg and 6.0 rpg in Miami’s three home games in February (all wins).
• Chris Lykes is on pace for UM’s highest-scoring season since Jack McClinton averaged 19.3 ppg in 2008-09.
• Lykes is eighth in the ACC in overall scoring (16.5 ppg) and ninth in conference play (16.4 ppg).
• Miami and TCU are the only power conference teams with five players each averaging at least 10.5 points per game.
• Johnson is one of 19 players nationally with 1,500 career points and 350 assists.
• Over the last seven games, Anthony Lawrence II is averaging 12.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg and 4.0 apg.
• Ebuka Izundu leads the ACC and is 10th nationally in offensive rebounds (100, 3.57/game).
 
Miami (12-16, 4-12 ACC) lost at No. 3 Duke, 87-57, Saturday afternoon. The Canes return home Tuesday to the Watsco Center, where they are 10-5 this season and have won their last three games.

Lykes leads the Hurricanes in scoring, while Johnson (12.3), Lawrence II (11.9), Vasiljevic (11.6) and Izundu (10.6) also are averaging in double figures this season. As a team the Canes are scoring 72.6 ppg this year and giving up 70.3 ppg.
 
Pitt (12-17, 2-14) lost at No. 2 Virginia, 73-49, on Saturday, marking the Panthers’ 12th straight defeat. Xavier Johnson leads the team in scoring at 16.0 ppg, while Jared Wilson-Frame is averaging 12.0 ppg. The Panthers are averaging 70.6 ppg and allowing 68.8 ppg.
 
Miami leads the series with Pitt, 21-18, including 5-1 since the Panthers joined the ACC for the 2014-15 season. The Canes have won five straight against Pitt, including a pair of wins last season (67-53 on Dec. 30 in Pittsburgh and 69-57 on Jan. 31 in Coral Gables). Miami is 12-7 all-time in home games versus Pitt.
 
The Canes conclude the regular season Friday (March 8) with a 7 p.m. game at No. 15 Virginia Tech. UM opens play at the 2019 ACC Tournament next Tuesday (March 12) at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
