Matchup at Toledo Set for Noon Kickoff

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes’ football matchup against Toledo at the Glass Bowl, scheduled for Sat., Sept. 15, will kick off at noon on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, it was announced Thursday.

Miami will visit the defending Mid-American Conference Champion Rockets as part of its nonconference schedule.

In last year’s matchup, the Hurricanes topped the Rockets, 52-30, at Hard Rock Stadium in their first game after a 20-day layover due to Hurricane Irma. Prior to 2017, the Hurricanes won the only other matchup in the history of the series, 24-14, at the Orange Bowl on Nov. 21, 1987.

Miami boasts a 6-0 all-time record against teams from the Mid-American Conference.

Kickoff times have now been announced for all but one of the Hurricanes’ nonconference games; Miami will travel to Arlington, Texas, for an opening-weekend matchup with LSU at AT&T Stadium on Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. on ABC before opening its home slate on Sept. 8 vs. Savannah State at 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Kickoff time for Miami’s Sept. 22 game against FIU at Hard Rock Stadium has not yet been announced.
