In Gainesville, Fla., Miami defeated the College of Charleston in the first round for its first postseason victory since 2014.

The 61 assists Templeton picked up in a five-set win at Duke on Oct. 13 were most in her career. She will enter her senior season with 3,671 career assists, which ranks third in Miami volleyball history.
In addition, the two-time ACC Player of the Week and Sunshine State Classic MVP was a constant threat from the service line, picking up a total of 31 service aces last season. In 2017, the redshirt junior also put in a career-best numbers in hitting percentage (.700 against North Carolina), digs (21 at Notre Dame) and blocks (six against Charleston).
As a result, she picked up multiple prestigious postseason honors, including AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and All-East Coast Region, as well as First Team All-ACC. Athletic responsibilities did not slow Templeton academically, as the triple-major student earned her second All-ACC Academic Team recognition.
