Miami Places Pair of Freshmen In Latest Oracle/ITA Rankings

CORAL GABLES, Fla.  University of Miami freshmen Adria Soriano and Bojan Jankulovski were among the top ranked men’s collegiate tennis players, as both were ranked in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings, which were released today.

Soriano jumped into the rankings for the first in his collegiate career, as he was listed at the No. 99 spot. Jankulovski followed two spots later at No. 101.

Soriano owns a 3-1 record in singles play this spring and is 11-4 on the year. His 11 overall victories in singles competition are tops among all Miami freshmen. He enters this weekend’s matches in the midst of a two-match winning streak in singles competition.

Jankulovski holds a 3-2 mark in singles play this spring and has won each of his last two singles matches. He recently picked up his 10th win on the year after he defeated Josh Silverstein from Iowa.

Miami returns to action on Feb. 11, as it welcomes FAU (11 a.m.) and Bucknell (4 p.m.) to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
