CORAL GABLES, Florida – The No. 10/11 Miami men’s basketball team returns home Tuesday to play Boston University at 7 p.m. at the Watsco Center. The ACC’s Regional Sports Networks, including FOX Sports Florida, have the television broadcast, while WQAM 560-AM has the local radio broadcast. The telecast also will be streamed through the WatchESPN app.
 
One of 13 remaining unbeaten teams in the nation, Miami (7-0) stands at No. 10 in the latest Associated Press Poll and No. 11 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll this week.
 
Miami is averaging 80.7 points per game while giving up 57.6 per game. The Hurricanes rank second in the ACC and fourth nationally in scoring defense and are limiting their opponents to 35.7 percent shooting, which also is second in the ACC. UM is holding opponents to an ACC-low 25.4 percent shooting from 3-point range.
 
The Hurricanes are shooting 50 percent as a team, including 38.7 percent from 3-point range, and feature a balanced attack with eight players who average at least 6.3 points per game. Dewan Huell leads four Hurricanes in double figures at 14.1 points per game, while Boston native Bruce Brown Jr. is averaging 11.7 points per game.
 
After hitting 8-of-12 3-point attempts and averaging 15.5 points per game last week, Dejan Vasiljevic is scoring 11.3 points per game this year and hitting on 40.9 percent of his 3-pointers. Ja’Quan Newton is averaging 10.6 points per game.
 
Winners of three straight games including a 70-69 victory at New Hampshire last Wednesday, Boston University (3-3) averages 71.7 points per game while allowing 70.7. Cedric Hankerson leads the team in scoring at 12.2 points per game, while Nick Havener averages 10.7 points per game. Nine Terriers average at least 6.0 points per game.
 
Miami and Boston University have met just once previously, an 81-60 UM win on Dec. 27, 1965, in the Hurricane Classic.
 
Following the Tuesday game, Miami does not play again until Dec. 16 at George Washington, beginning a string of six straight games away from home.
