• The Hurricanes will open an eight-game homestand with an ACC series against visiting Wake Forest from March 31 – April 2 at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field (ACC Network Extra).

• Miami carries a commanding 32-9 all-time series lead against the Demon Deacons, and have won 19 of the last 25 matchups.

• The Canes have not played Wake Forest at Mark Light Field since 2012, but are 15-2 against the Demon Deacons at home all-time.

• Miami junior righthander Jesse Lepore (1-3, 4.64 ERA) will start opposite Wake Forest’s Parker Dunshee (4-1, 5.05 ERA) Friday night.

LAST TIME OUT: UM DROPS MIDWEEK WITH #12 FGCU

• Miami dropped its midweek matchup with No. 12 FGCU on Wed., March 29 at Swanson Stadium, falling to the host Eagles 3-0.

• Freshman righthander Greg Veliz delivered another impressive start for Miami, going a career-long 6.1 innings and allowing just one run. Veliz struck out four batters and allowed just three hits in the outing.

• Senior Johnny Ruiz reached base for the 19th straight game with a one-out single in the first inning off FGCU starter Mario Leon.

LOOKING FOR A FOUR-PEAT

•  Miami won its third straight ACC Coastal Division title in 2016, posting a 21-7 record in ACC play to earn the division crown.

•  The Hurricanes have won 67 ACC games in the prior three seasons – the most wins in a three-year stretch by any program since ACC expanded to a 30-game conference schedule in 2005.

•  Miami has won the ACC Regular Season Championship three times, most recently in 2016 when the Canes finished 21-7; UM won the ACC regular season crown & ACC Tournament in 2008.

• The Hurricanes have won four ACC Coastal Division titles (2008, 2014, 2015, 2016) in history and one ACC Championship (2008).

• Since the beginning of the 2014 season, Miami has won 25 of its past 33 ACC series. The Hurricanes went 8-2 in ACC series in 2014, 7-3 in 2015, 9-1 in 2016 and are 1-2 in 2017.

WELCOME TO THE LIGHT!

•  Miami has made College World Series trips in back-to-back seasons (2015 and 2016) thanks in large part to its dominant play inside the confines of Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.

•  Since the start of the 2015 season, Miami is a whopping 77-13 in its last 90 home games, including its 2017 Opening Weekend series against Rutgers and opening ACC home series against Georgia Tech.

• Miami finished 36-5 at home in 2015 and 34-6 at home in 2016. The Hurricanes went 13-2 in ACC play at The Light in 2015 and 12-3 at home in ACC play in 2016.
