@CanesMensTennis Set to Take on the Cardinals
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis program will face its fourth-straight opponent ranked in the ITA top 40, when they travel to Louisville, Ky., Sunday at noon to face No. 34 University of Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Sunday’s 12 p.m. matchup will be the fifth meeting between the Hurricanes and Cardinals. UM leads the all-time series 3-1, with the series tied at one match apiece since UL joined the ACC in the fall of 2014. The Canes most recently took down the Cardinals, 5-2, on April 10, 2016.
After being tied 2-2 to begin last season’s match, Miami won three-straight courts to take home the victory. Seniors Max Andrews and Jesse Flores, along with juniors Piotr Lomacki and Niclas Genovese each earned singles victories.
Miami (6-6, 0-3 ACC) will enter Sunday’s match with Lomacki at No. 73 in the ITA singles rankings, as released March 21.
