CORAL GABLES, Fla. The University of Miami women’s tennis team will resume play this weekend with matches against two of its farthest conference opponents.

No. 37 Miami is set to take on Boston College Friday at 1 p.m., at the Flynn Recreation Complex in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The team then goes to the Midwest to face No. 26 Notre Dame at noon two days later at the Courtney Tennis Center in Notre Dame, Ind.

These will be the Hurricanes’ first two matches away from home this season that are not against top-25 opponents and the Eagles are just the third team not in the top 30 Miami will play this year.

The Hurricanes have two players in the ITA’s singles rankings, with junior Sinead Lohan placing No. 11 and freshman Estela Perez-Somarriba, fresh off a pair of top-25 wins in her last two matches, at No. 33.

In addition, the Miami (4-7, 3-3 ACC) duo of Lohan and redshirt senior Maci Epstein checks in at No. 59 nationally.

Miami is 23-0 all-time against Boston College, including 6-0 on the road, and the sides have met at least once a year dating back to 1999. Most recently, the Hurricanes logged a 7-0 home triumph over the then-No. 53 Eagles on March 27, 2016.

Boston College enters Friday’s match at 7-7 (2-4 ACC) on the season. The Eagles do not have any ranked singles players or doubles pairs.

The Hurricanes have an 11-10 all-time mark against Notre Dame and have won each of the past seven meetings. Miami is 1-4 on the road against the Fighting Irish, with the win coming in the most recent meeting in the Hoosier State. In the teams’ last matchup, the Hurricanes earned a 5-2 home victory over then-No. 31 Notre Dame on March 6, 2016.

The Fighting Irish are 14-2 (5-1 ACC) thus far in 2017 and had their 11-match winning streak snapped Sunday against Virginia. Notre Dame does not feature any players or doubles duos in the ITA rankings.
