Hurricanes Hosting Youth Football Coaching Clinic
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football program is offering the chance for youth football coaches to learn from head coach Mark Richt and the Hurricanes coaching staff.
The Canes will host a coaching clinic on Saturday, March 25, intended for coaches of youth football players. The youth football clinic begins at 8 a.m., and costs just $10 to attend. Attendees will begin the day with a chance to watch the Hurricanes practice on the Greentree Practice Fields. Lunch will be served and Miami coaches will be available for chalk talks from 12:30-230 p.m., to conclude the day.
Saturday’s youth football clinic is one of five opportunities for coaches to learn from Miami’s staff this spring. The Canes are also offering a mini coaching clinic on April 1, as well as Coaching Cane Talks on March 22, April 5 and April 19, that will provide high school coaches with a hands-on, intimate opportunity to learn the Hurricane way.
The mini clinic costs just $10 and begins at 8 a.m., on the April 1, and will give attendees an up-close look at a Hurricanes practice followed by lunch with Miami coaches and players. The afternoon will feature chalk talks with the coaching staff.
Coaching Cane Talks are evening sessions that allow coaches to get in the meeting rooms and get in-depth instruction from the Hurricanes coaching staff. Beginning at 5 p.m., attendees will get three and a half hours of football knowledge. Each session costs $7 and dinner will be provided. Space is limited for Cane Talks, as they are designed to produce a small group environment where attendees can get more individualized attention and instruction.
Coaches interested in attending should RSVP with Justin Wells at jwells@miami.edu.
