CORAL GABLES, Fla. The University of Miami women’s tennis team held steady at No. 12 in the ITA’s rankings, as announced Wednesday.

The Hurricanes opened the year at No. 12, remained at No. 12 last week and are still there after their opening weekend of competition.

There are four ACC teams ranked in the top 12 and Miami will host two of them—second-ranked North Carolina and No. 10 Duke—at home this season.

The first in-season of singles and doubles rankings will not be released until Feb. 8, just two days prior to the start of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship.

Miami will be seeking its 13th consecutive appearance in the prestigious tournament and will look to earn that spot with a pair of wins in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Saturday and Sunday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The Hurricanes, in their opening dual match of the season, will first host Brown Saturday at 10 a.m., and then play either No. 22 Texas A&M or South Alabama the following day.
