Coach L Against the ACC
In Larrañaga’s six seasons in the ACC, Miami has at least a .500 record against 11 league opponents. UM has a .500 record or better at home against 12 teams and on the road against nine ACC squads. The Hurricanes have won a road game against all but three league opponents: Virginia (0-3), Wake Forest (0-2) and Louisville (0-1).
Larrañaga Wins 600th Career Game
Coach Jim Larrañaga won his 600th career game at Pitt on Jan. 14, improving to a 600-395 mark in 33 seasons as a head coach. Larrañaga’s 600 wins place him at 47th in all-time NCAA victories and 14th among active coaches (as of games through Jan. 12). Of those 14, five are in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, including four from the Atlantic Coast Conference. In his career, Coach L has won 27 games at American International, 170 at Bowling Green, 273 at George Mason and 130 at Miami. He is one of 15 coaches all-time with 100 or more wins at three D-I schools, four of whom are actively coaching. He is also 11th among active coaches in total games coached (995) and ninth in most seasons coached (33).
Miami Hits the Road for Three Straight Games
The Hurricanes will play three consecutive games on the road, beginning with the win at Pittsburgh on Jan. 14, followed by the Jan. 18 matchup at Wake Forest, then the Jan. 21 game against Duke, which will be featured on ESPN’s College GameDay.

Canes Post Largest ACC Road Margin of Victory at Pitt
With the 26-point win at Pittsburgh on Jan. 14, Miami posted its largest road margin of victory in a conference game, since joining the ACC for the 2004-05
season. The 26 points are tied for the fourth-highest margin of victory in an ACC game, behind 27 points three times and 26 points once, all at home.

Brown Ranked Nationally Among Freshmen
Freshman Bruce Brown is highly ranked among freshmen in the nation, as well as among all players in the ACC and in NCAA stats. Among rookies around the country, he is 14th in steals per game, ninth in rebounds per game and tied for 10th in defensive rebounds. In the ACC (all players), he is eighth in steals, 10th in rebounds per game and 11th in defensive rebounds per outing.
Canes in National Stats
Miami is ranked in the top 100 in 16 NCAA statistical categories, through games as of Jan. 15. The Canes are third in fewest fouls, fourth in scoring defense (59.3) and No. 10 in field goal percentage defense (38.1%). Senior guard Davon Reed has knocked down 25 shots from long range in the past eight games. He hit five against FAU, four at Pitt, three against SC State, George Washington, Columbia and NC State, and a pair at Syracuse and vs. Notre Dame. For the year, he is 38-98 (38.8%) from downtown, hitting multiple 3-pointers in 12 outings, including three-or-more seven times. He has hit at least one three in every game this season.
Brown Finding His Touch from Long Range
Freshman Bruce Brown is knocking down 3-pointers at a 57.9 percent clip in the past six games, after starting the season by hitting only 20.8 percent of his threes in the first 10 games. Since the game against GW, Brown has drained 11-of-19 from long range and improved to 12.0 points per game in those six outings. Prior to GW, Brown was 5-of-24 from long range, and averaging 10.4 ppg.

Freshman guard Bruce Brown has grabbed at least four rebounds in each of the first 16 games, has eight-or-more in seven outings and pulled down double-digit boards in two contests. He has at least two assists in 12 contests, with five-plus in six outings.
Sophomore Ebuka Izundu has a block in seven of the last 10 outings and has scored in nine of his last 10 games.
Sophomore guard Anthony Lawrence, Jr., has swiped at least one steal in each game but three, and had three-or-more in four outings. He has five-plus rebounds in seven of the last nine outings.
Redshirt senior forward Kamari Murphy has recorded a pair of double-doubles (vs. Wofford, vs. NC State). He has pulled down double-digit boards in six outings. He has a block in three straight games.

He has grabbed five-plus rebounds in eight outings. Reed has hit at least one shot from long range in every game, with multiple threes in 12 contests, led by five against FAU. He has multiple threes in eight straight games. He has three-plus assists in three straight games, and at least a pair of blocks in back-to-back games.
Freshman DJ Vasiljevic has drained three-or-more shots from 3-point range in five games and has hit a three in all but three outings (Florida, Rutgers, FAU).
