TOP PERFORMERS

Jimmy Graham (Seattle Seahawks) – three catches, 46 yards, 1 touchdown

No tight end in Seattle Seahawks history has ever had more receiving yards in a season than Jimmy Graham, who set a franchise record in Sunday’s win over Philadelphia. Graham, who hauled in three catches totaling 46 yards against the Eagles, moved past John Carlson with 639 yards on the year. Graham caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson in the victory, showcasing his strength and speed for his fourth touchdown of the year.

Frank Gore (Indianapolis Colts) – 50 rushing yards, 71 receiving yards, 121 total yards

Frank Gore just won’t slow down. At age 33, the 12th-year running back continues to spearhead Indianapolis’ offense, and did so again in Sunday’s 24-17 win over Tennessee. Gore totaled 121 all-purpose yards in the victory, including a 49-yard catch that was the second-longest of his illustrious career. Gore, who is 57 yards behind Tony Dorsett for eighth in all-time NFL rushing yards, is also 152 yards back of Terrell Owens for 11th all-time in yards from scrimmage.

Artie Burns (Pittsburgh Steelers) – three tackles, one interception

Pittsburgh’s first-round draft selection wasted little time in making an early impact for the Steelers, and Artie Burns continued that trend Sunday in a 24-9 win over Cleveland. Burns picked off his second pass of the year on a deep ball from Browns quarterback Cody Kessler, and finished the afternoon with three tackles. Burns started his third straight game for the Steelers at defensive back, and finished with a career-high three passes defended. No other Pittsburgh defensive back has an interception this year.

Olivier Vernon (New York Giants) – three tackles, one sack

In his first season playing with the New York Giants, Olivier Vernon delivered another dominant outing in a 22-16 win over Chicago Sunday. Vernon totaled three tackles – two of which went for loss and one of which was a sack of quarterback Jay Cutler. Vernon’s 10 tackles for loss this season are the most of any Giants player and tied for seventh-most in the NFL. His play against the run has been praised across the league, and he now has 42 tackles in 10 games this season.
