CORAL GABLES, Fla. The University of Miami soccer team will play its third road match in a row Friday night when it faces No. 18 Clemson.

The Hurricanes and Tigers are set to square off at 7 p.m., at Historic Riggs Field in Clemson, S.C.

Miami has a 7-4-1 advantage in the all-time series against Clemson and won six consecutive meetings from 2008 to 2013. Last year, the teams played a thrilling double overtime match that the Tigers won, 2-1.

Entering Friday’s match, Miami is sporting an 8-6-0 (3-3-0 ACC) mark in 2016. The Hurricanes rank third in the ACC in assists with 33 and are tied for fifth in points with 87. In addition, Miami’s 11 goals allowed are tied for fourth and its six shutouts are tied for fifth.

Senior forward Gracie Lachowecki is tied for second in the ACC in goals (nine), fourth in shots (53) and tied for fifth in points (19). Forward Kristina Fisher, who was recently ranked as the No. 34 freshman in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer, is tied for third in the conference in assists (six), fourth in points (20) and tied for seventh in shots (44).

Additionally, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce ranks fifth in the ACC in both goals against average (0.81) and save percentage (.804).

Clemson brings a 9-3-2 (3-1-2 ACC) record into Friday’s matchup. The Tigers went 14-4-1 (7-3-0 ACC) last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
