Miami Football Moves Up the Rankings In Both Polls

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Following its convincing 45-10 win on the road this past Saturday against Appalachian State, the University of Miami football team moved up to No. 15 in the Associated Press Poll and to No. 19 in the Amway Coaches Poll and on Sunday.

This is the highest Miami has been ranked in both polls since Nov. 9, 2013.

The Hurricanes also cracked into the top 16 of the Football Writers Association-National Football Foundation Super 16 Poll.

Miami has opened a season 3-0 for the eighth time since 2000 and has outscored its opponents by a combined score of 153-23.

The Hurricanes return to action on Oct. 1 as they travel to Atlanta, Ga., to take on Georgia Tech. The kickoff time has not been announced.
