Miami Football Adds LSU Transfer Brown, Jr.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Offensive lineman George Brown, Jr., has enrolled at the University of Miami and will begin practicing with the Hurricanes football team.
Brown, who spent the first season of his collegiate career at LSU, must sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer regulations. He will be eligible to compete for the Hurricanes in 2017.
Considered one of the nation’s top prospects out of high school in 2015, Brown Jr. was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 199 player regardless of position by Rivals. He was ranked a three-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports and Scout.
A 6-foot-7, 283-pound lineman out of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brown Jr., redshirted his freshman season at LSU. He initially chose LSU over offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas, among others.
