Hurricane Club Announces Record 8,100 Members
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami Athletics and the Hurricane Club announced a record 8,100 active members as of May 2016, representing over an 80 percent increase in active membership since 2010.
“Reaching another all-time record of active Hurricane Club members is a tremendous accomplishment made possible through the generous support of our alumni, season ticket holders and fans,” said Miami Director of Athletics Blake James. “On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches and administrators, thank you to all of our members for their generous support. We are truly Building Champions at The U.”

“Over the past six years, our membership continues to grow because of our fans’ passion and desire to support UM Athletics,” Associate Athletics Director Jesse Marks said. “Because of the collective support of over 8,100 active members, our student-athletes are achieving excellence in competition, in the classroom and in life.”
Gifts made by Hurricane Club members supportthe Student-Athlete Excellence Fund, which provides scholarship and operational support for more than 400 UM student-athletes.
