@HurricanesGolf Moves Into Seventh at the #ACCWGolf Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Miami women’s golf team closed out play during the second round of the 2016 ACC Championship on Saturday and currently sit in seventh place as it heads into the final day of competition.

The Hurricanes own a two-round score of 602.

Miami posted a second round score of 301. The Hurricanes enter the final round of play just eight strokes shy of cracking into the top four.

The 54-hole event is being held at the par 72, 6,089 Championship Course at the Sedgefield Country Club.

Junior Daniela Darquea continued her strong play for the Hurricanes as she posted a second-round total of 74. She currently holds a one-over-par score of 145 and is tied for fifth with one round to play.

Freshman Dewi Weber also remains in the top 30 following her second round 74. She enters final round competition tied for 25th (150).

Virginia’s Lauren Coughlin leads the tournament field with a tournament total of 137.

Miami returns to action Sunday at 9:20 a.m., and live coverage of the ACC Championship begins at 1 p.m. on ESPN3.
