@CanesFootball Holds Scrimmage One at #CanesCamp
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team held its first scrimmage of spring practice on Saturday at the Greentree Practice Fields.
The scrimmage also marked the conclusion of the third week of spring practice under head coach Mark Richt.
Miami’s first scrimmage began at 9:15 a.m. on a sunny day in South Florida and spanned just over two hours.
The scrimmage began with the special teams unit taking center stage as Miami worked in reps with its field goal unit. The Hurricanes then transitioned to full game action as Miami’s first, second and third team units each got reps against one another.
Miami closed out its first scrimmage as it ran through third down and red zone situations.

Miami’s opens the fourth week of #CanesCamp on Tuesday at the Greentree Practice Fields where it will hold its 10th practice.
The Hurricanes will hold their second scrimmage next Saturday at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, beginning at 2 p.m. Miami’s second scrimmage is open to the general public.
The spring schedule will conclude on April 16 with its spring game (2 p.m.) at Lockhart Stadium and will be aired live on ESPN3. The Hurricanes’ spring game also will be open to the public and will be free for all fans.
