@CanesMensTennis Hosts No. 13 Wake Forest
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will head back to its home court to take on No. 13 Wake Forest on Friday, March 25 at 1 p.m.
Miami returns to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center after playing two matches on the road this weekend. The Hurricanes defeated Boston College, 4-3, but fell to No. 51 Notre Dame, 5-2.
Miami (7-8, 2-3 ACC) is 13-8 overall against the Demon Deacons.
Wake Forest (20-4, 4-1 ACC) recently logged a program record of seven consecutive shutout matches. Most recently, Wake Forest defeated fellow ACC rivals Clemson, 7-0, and South Carolina State, 7-0, at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
No. 13 Wake Forest features three ITA ranked doubles pairs and two singles players. The Demon Deacons see three ranked duos: No. 12 Christian Seraphim and Aleksander Mansouri, No. 41 Romain Boagerts and Maksim Kan, and No. 48 Petros Chryschos and Jonathan Ho. Wake Forest’s two ranked singles players include 16th-ranked Mansouri and Chryschos ranked at No. 36.
Piotr Lomacki still holds onto his singles ranking, coming in at No. 38 for this weekend’s match.
Following their match against Wake Forest, the Canes will continue ACC play on the road. Miami will head to Atlanta, Ga. to take on Georgia Tech on Friday, April 1 at 5 p.m.
