@CanesMensTennis to Play at UNF Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla.- The University of Miami men’s tennis team will travel to Jacksonville, Fla., to kick off its road slate at the UNF Invitational. The event will take place Friday, Jan. 22 and ends Saturday, Jan. 23. The Hurricanes will face off against three ITA ranked teams including No. 65 Alabama, No. 74 UNCW and No.75 UNF.

The Hurricanes recently wrapped up home season opener against St. John’s University and Florida Atlantic. Miami dropped their first match against St. Johns 4-3, but bounced back Sunday and dominated doubles play to post a 5-2 win against FAU. 

“We are looking forward to our next few practices, and working on what we need to improve,” said head coach Mario Rincon.

Play begins on Friday Jan. 22 at 11:30 a.m., when the Hurricanes face No. 65 Alabama. Following the Crimson Tide, Miami will face off against No. 74 UNCW at 4:30 p.m. to complete play on Friday. On Saturday Jan. 23, the Hurricanes will square off against UNCW once more at 11 a.m. and will wrap up the UNF Invitational against UNF at 3:30 p.m.
