Lomacki Competing in Guatemala F2 Futures

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore Piotr Lomacki is representing his home country of Poland this week at the Guatemala F2 Futures event in Guatemala City.

Lomacki is in the main draw of the singles event and pairs with former teammate Wilfredo Gonzalez in doubles.

In the first round of the main draw, Lomacki was defeated by Argentina’s Gregorio Cordonnier, 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-0. In doubles, the Canes pair won their first match, 6-0, 6-1, over Matias Franco Descotte (ARG) and Dante Gennaro (ARG). The UM duo will play the winner of Juan Sebastian Gomez (COL) / Manuel Sanchez (MEX) and Rudy Richter (GUA)/Seanon Williams (BAR) in the quarterfinals.
