Genovese and the Canes Wrap Up Play at FGCU

FORT MYERS, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore Niclas Genovese won his singles match Sunday morning on the final day of the 2015 FGCU Fall Invite in Fort Myers, Fla.

Genovese made quick work of Lucas Vaz of the host school, FGCU, defeating the Eagle 6-1, 6-2, for Genovese’s first win of the weekend. 

Kevin Bondar also won his singles match, defeating Eduardo Alfonzo in a three-set battle, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6. Despite winning the second set 6-0, Nile Clark came up short in his three-set match to Oliver Landert, also of FGCU. 

Bondar paired with Clark in doubles, winning all three matches this weekend. The duo took down Ricky Ventura and Chris Perrigan of FGCU, 8-5, on Sunday. 

Genovese, Clark and Bondar next take the court on Thursday at the FSU Disney Invite in Orlando, Fla. Draw sheets will be released later in the week.
