Clark Victorious on Day 1 at FGCU

FORT MYERS, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore Nile Clark won both his singles and doubles match on the first day of the 2015 FGCU Fall Invite this weekend at the FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

In singles Clark won a straight-sets match against Nico DeFraia of UCF, downing the Knight 6-4, 6-2. Clark paired up with sophomore Kevin Bondar in doubles to defeat Tyler Pate and Arjun Watane of UCF, 8-5.

Also against UCF, Bondar lost his singles match, 6-4, 6-1 to Jack Thiessen, and Canes sophomore Niclas Genovese fell to Tyler Pate, 7-6, 6-4 (0-3).

Play continues Saturday at 10 a.m. when Miami faces Arkansas, then Sunday beginning at 10 a.m., UM will play matches against host school, FGCU. A complete schedule is listed below.
