Canes Golf Set For Longhorn Invitational
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 28-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team returns to action on Monday at 8:30 a.m. CST at the 2015 Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.
The 54-hole event will be held at the par 72, 6,298-yard University of Texas Golf Course.

Daniela Darquea
-Tied for third at the Dick McGuire Invitational to open the season.
-Closed out the Dick McGuire Invitational with a final round 68.
-Tied for fifth at the Jim West Challenge with a final day score of one-under-par, 71.
-Posted a team-best 73.29 scoring average during the 2014-15 campaign.
Delfina Acosta
-Tied for eighth at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
-Posted a second round total of 66 at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
-Tied for 14th at the Jim West Challenge final day score of one-under-par, 71.
-Owned a 74.74 scoring average in 31 rounds last season.
Dewi Weber
-Tied for 18th at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
-Made her collegiate debut at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
-Tied for 23rd at the Jim West Challenge, posting a three-under-par, 69, on the first round.
-Played on the 2013 and 2014 European Ladies’ Amateur Championship.
Kailey Walsh
-Made her season debut at the Jim West Challenge in Boerne, Texas.
-Tied for 61st at the Jim West Challenge.
-Posted the lowest second round total on the team at the Jim West Challenge with a one-under-par, 71.
-Posted a season average of 75.82 during the 2014-15 season.
Christina Ocampo
-Tied for 82nd at the Dick McGuire Inivitational
-Saw action in eight rounds during the 2014-15 campaign.
-Competed in all three tournaments during the fall portion of the 2014-15 season.
-Did not play last spring.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK
Miami finished seventh at the Jim West Challenge, the second tournament of its 2015-16 campaign. The Hurricanes finished the tournament with a three-round total of 878 (+14).
The Hurricanes posted a final round team score of 297 (+9). The three-day event was held at the par 72, 6,373-yard Tapatio Spring Golf Resort.
Junior Daniela Darquea paced the way for Miami as she tied for fifth with a three-round total of 213. Darquea posted a final day score of one-under-par, 71. Her final round featured three birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and an even par finish on the back nine.
