GREENSBORO, N.C. – Miami Hurricanes junior swimmer Angela Algee was recognized with ACC Female Swimmer of the Week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Algee made an impressive season debut at the Pinch A Penny All-Florida Invitational, serving as Miami’s top point-getter across a number of impressive performances.
The weekly award was a career-first for Algee, who qualified for the U.S. Olympic trials after an impressive long course season.
Algee contributed a whopping 110 points to Miami’s 509-point total over the weekend.
The Orlando native posted three top-five finishes, placing second in the 100 fly with a time of 55.00, third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:03.22 before finishing fourth in the 50 free at 23.63.
