Hurricanes 13th Heading Into The Final Round
ST. GEORGE, Utah – The No. 32-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team sits in 13th-place at the 2015 NCAA St. George Regional after two rounds of play.
The three-day event is being held at the par 71, 6,255-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Country Club.
The Hurricanes posted a second round total of 306 and have two-round tally of 622. Miami sits 17 team strokes back from sixth place.
The top six schools from each of the four 18-team regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship along with the top three individuals not advancing from a team from each site.
Senior Rika Park (Fujieda Shi-Shizouka, Japan) leads the way for the Hurricanes as she is tied for 37th, heading into the final round. After two rounds, Park has a total of 154.
Park posted a second round total five-over-par 76. Park opened round two on a high note as she birded two of her first three holes.
Senior Leticia Ras-Anderica (Moraira, Spain) is just five spots behind Park after she fired a second round tally of 76. Ras-Anderica has posted a two-round total of 155.
USC leads all teams with an opening round tally of nine-over-par, 293. USC’s Annie Park leads all individuals with a two-round total of 143.
The Hurricanes begin second action tomorrow at 10:54 a.m. EST.
