Cousineau, Vock Earn Academic All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Cheyenne Cousineau and Thea Vock were among those recognized with Academic All-ACC honors, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The award was the first for Cousineau, a senior majoring in psychology, and third for Vock, a graduate student majoring in physiology.

Vock, who earned All-America recognition at the 2015 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, was one of just five ACC student-athletes recognized with Academic All-ACC recognition for at least the third time.

Twelve of the thirteen ACC schools that sponsor women’s swimming and diving are represented on the All-Academic Team.

The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were established in September 2007 to be awarded annually to the top junior or senior student-athlete in their respective sports. Candidates for the awards must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average for their career as well as a 3.0 for each of the last two semesters.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
