Miami Set For Web.com Intercollegiate
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 32 University of Miami women’s golf team returns to action at the 2015 Web.com Intercollegiate in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The two-day event begins Monday and will conclude on Tuesday at the at the par 72, 5,967-yard Marsh Landing Golf Course.

-In search of back-to-back victories. Claimed the Briar’s Creek Invitational last week after she shot a final round of 65.

Kailey Walsh

Leticia Ras-Anderica

Rika Park
-Holds the team’s second-best scoring average (74.18).
-Fired a second round score of 69 at the Hurricane Invitational en route to a top 15 finish (T13).
-Tied for 19th at the UCF Challenge.
-Tied for 19th in the 2015 Florida Challenge.
-Missed the 2014 fall campaign due to injury.
Delfina Acosta
-Ranks second on the team in birdies with 44.
-Owns a 75.57 average through 21 rounds this season.
-Tied for 13th at the 2015 Florida Challenge.
-Saw action in every tournament during the fall campaign.
-Named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Team.
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore Daniela Darquea fired a final round 65 to capture the individual crown and help the No. 38-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team to a runner-up finish at the 2015 Briar’s Creek Invitational.
Darquea’s final round 65 was her best single performance of the spring. The Ecuador native opened the final round on a high note as she finished four-under-par on the front nine, posting birdies on holes two, four, five and seven. She then closed out the round by carding four birdies on the back nine.
Darquea’s winning performance was her the third career victory and her first since the 2014 Gator Women’s Invitational.
CHIRP CHIRP
Three of Miami’s top five golfers have combined for 190 birdies this season. Sophomores Daniela Darquea and Delfina Acosta have a team best 52 birdies.
AMONG THE BEST
Miami’s runner-up finish at the Briar’s Creek Invitational Tuesday afternoon marked the fifth time this season UM has placed in the top five. Miami’s other top five finishes came at the East/West Match Play (5th/Sept. 22), the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational (5th/Oct. 14), the Florida Challenge (1st/Jan.26) and at the Hurricane Invitational (2nd/March 4).
