CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team will take its unblemished ACC record to the state of Virginia for a pair of matches.

The Hurricanes, ranked No. 16, will first square off against eighth-ranked Virginia (12-3, 5-1 ACC) Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va.

It will be the third time this season that Miami (10-3, 6-0 ACC) faces an ACC team ranked in the top 15. The Hurricanes fell to third-ranked North Carolina in a nonconference match at ITA National Team Indoor Championships Feb. 7 and defeated No. 14 Clemson, 7-0, on the first day of March.

The Cavaliers have three ranked singles players, all in the top 35. Julia Elbaba is ranked fourth in the nation, while Danielle Collins comes in at No. 31 and Stephanie Nauta holds the No. 34 position.

In doubles, Virginia’s Skylar Morton and Cassie Mercer are ranked No. 27 by the ITA. Live stats for Friday’s match can be found HERE and live video will be available HERE.

After taking on the Cavaliers, the Hurricanes will travel southwest in Virginia to take on No. 47 Virginia Tech (10-5, 3-4 ACC) in Blacksburg Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

The Hokies feature a pair of ranked singles players in No. 86 Francesca Fusinato and No. 106 Ilinca Stoica. None of Virginia Tech’s doubles pairs are nationally ranked at this point.

Virginia Tech has won three of its last four matches and will first host VCU in a nonconference contest Saturday before welcoming the Hurricanes to the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. Live stats and live video for the match will be available HERE.

Miami enters this weekend’s matches with five singles players nationally ranked, including junior Stephanie Wagner at No. 6, freshman Sinead Lohan at No. 36 and junior Clementina Riobueno at No. 63.

In doubles, Paige Yaroshuk-Tews’ team has pair of ranked duos. Wagner and senior Lina Lileikite are sixth in the nation, while Riobueno and senior Monique Albuquerque come in at No. 29.
