@CanesHoops Jumps to No. 15 in Both Polls
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After improving its record to 7-0 with two more wins last week, the undefeated Miami Hurricanes moved up to No. 15 in both college basketball polls released Monday.
Miami jumped five spots in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, and moved up two spots from No. 17 in the Associated Press top 25.
The Hurricanes have opened the regular season 7-0 for the first time since 2009-10, when they opened the year 8-0. The 7-0 start marks the best for Miami under head coach Jim Larrañaga, who is in his fourth season at the helm of the program.
The Hurricanes made their debut in the major polls last week after beating then-No. 7 Florida on the road and successfully capturing the Charleston Classic championship. Miami topped host Charlotte 77-74 on Nov. 25 and bested visiting South Alabama 87-75 on Nov. 28 to extend its unbeaten streak to seven games.
Tickets to all five men’s basketball games in December are available for a total of $25 as part of a special Black Friday / Cyber Monday package through HurricaneSports.com. The package is available through 11:59 p.m. EST Monday night – click HERE for more information.
