Miami to Play Host to #BEATFSU Pep Rally

WHAT: Category 5 and Hurricane Athletics are hosting a #BeatFSU pep rally in preparation for the football game against UM’s in-state rival the Florida State Seminoles. University leadership will be talking about the history of this long-standing rivalry and important Hurricane traditions. The pep rally also features performances from the Band of the Hour, cheerleaders and Sunsations dance team. Concluding the pep rally, Category 5 is distributing free glow in the dark T-shirts to students. The event is intended for the UM community.

WHO: Category 5 is the Spirit Programming Board focused on preserving and implementing traditions related to sports and spirit at the University of Miami. It represents the student body and is the link between the Athletic Department and the students. Category 5 focuses on improving the in-game experiences for students to promote love of Alma Mater and cultivate supportive, notable and fun student sections.
